Kurt Dehnel

Kurt Dehnel is a shareholder, Chairperson of the Board, and Director of People & Culture at D-Pace, headquartered in Nelson, BC, where the company operates its offices and ion source research center serving the global commercial accelerator industry. With over 25 years of experience as an entrepreneur and owner of multiple engineering and technology companies, Kurt brings deep leadership expertise to his role.

As Director of People & Culture, he leads strategy and execution across talent acquisition, employee experience, compensation, coaching and development, diversity, equity and inclusion, organizational change and development, workplace safety, and IT infrastructure and security. Known for fostering innovation, belonging, and strong workplace culture, Kurt is guided by his favourite quote from Adam Grant: “The most meaningful way to succeed is to help other people succeed.”  Kurt is deeply committed to making D-Pace’s vision and values a lived experience and is widely known for his passionate mentoring of leaders, professionals, and students.  He holds a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of British Columbia and specializes in organizational culture, leadership development, and people strategy.
